ACDC: Automated Campbell Diagram Code
ACDC is an application to aid in the generation of Campbell Diagrams for wind turbines modeled with OpenFAST.
ACDC is an application to aid in the generation of Campbell Diagrams for wind turbines modeled with OpenFAST.
The goal of ACDC is to simplify the process of generating Campbell diagrams for wind turbines modeled in OpenFAST.
ACDC executables are released for Windows, MacOS, and Linux, which can be downloaded from the project’s Github Releases.
The Project tab handles creating and opening project files which contain the data for building the OpenFAST models, setting up linearization, describing the analysis operating points, and running the simulations.
The Model tab handles importing and modifying OpenFAST turbine models. The following figure shows the Model tab before a model has been imported.
The Analysis tab is where the user defines the operating points for the analysis.
The Evaluate tab runs a case to generate linearization files at each operating point.
The Results tab is used process OpenFAST linearization files to generate the Campbell Diagram and visualize the turbine mode shapes.
